Aliya Aaron

Owner & Principal  Consultant

Aliya is a registered nurse, software developer,  informatics consultant, and entrepreneur with 20+ years of  healthcare industry experience. She began her professional nursing career working in critical care and trauma, moving into clinical research and transitioning into healthcare IT in 2007.  Having worked on the front line of care, Aliya understood early on that positive patient outcomes would depend on technology companies working closely with nurses, physicians and others throughout the healthcare organization to design and develop innovative IT solutions that fit within the clinician’s workflow.  In 2010, she founded AMR Healthcare Consulting to provide professional services to hospitals, vendors and providers implementing Electronic Health Records.  To keep up with the ever changing healthcare IT landscape,  Aliya added additional skills and expertise and expanded company services to include more robust IT consulting services, custom healthcare software development, and mobile health application development while continuing to deliver innovative IT solutions to help improve patient care.

Prior to founding AMR Healthcare Consulting, Aliya worked for leading EHR vendors where she developed and implemented clinical information systems for hospitals across the country.  Aliya has served as a Nurse Researcher for the National Institutes of Health, and as a Nurse Informatics Consultant for the Veterans Health Administration, Chief Health Informatics Office.

In addition to becoming a Full-Stack Web Developer, Aliya received a Master of Science in Health Systems Management from George Mason University, and a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing from Winston-Salem State University.
