Managing Principal - Aliya combines 16 years of clinical nursing experience with 11 years of nursing informatics expertise to lead and advise on multi-disciplined clinical system transformation projects involving leading EHRs for hospitals, vendors, and provider practices across the U.S. and Canada. She manages the daily activities of the company, and continues to work directly with clients which provides her a great deal of insight into today's current healthcare IT issues and challenges.
Prior to founding AMR Healthcare, Aliya served as a Quality and Outcomes Consultant for a leading EHR vendor where she developed and implemented outcomes methodologies to measure the impact of EHR use on clinical and financial improvements in healthcare organizations. She also served as a Nurse Researcher for the National Institutes of Health, and as a Nurse Informatics Consultant for the Veterans Health Administration, Chief Health Informatics Office.
Aliya received the Online Journal of Nursing Informatics award for excellence in disseminating best practices in nursing informatics in 2011. Her clinical experience includes intensive care, critical care, and trauma nursing. She is a Registered Nurse, licensed in the state of Florida, an active member of the American Nursing Informaics Association, Healthcare Information and Management System Society, and a Nurse Leader in Sigma Theta Tau International, Honor Society of Nursing. Aliya has a Master’s in Health Systems Management from George Mason University, and a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Winston-Salem State University.
